Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta: Episode - 1 || How did the Geeta begin?

The Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is a unique scripture of the world. Countless commentaries have been written on it, are being written, and will be written in the future, but the end of its profound meanings has not come, nor will it ever come. The reason is that it is the divine speech (supreme word) that emerged from the mouth of the Lord. Whatever is said or written about this divine speech is, in reality, merely an introduction to one's own intellect. No human being can grasp the meanings of the Geeta with their senses, mind, or intellect, because these are the supreme words directly spoken by Lord Shri Krishna Himself. To understand it, mere intellect is not enough; rather, complete surrender to the Lord is necessary. For one who surrenders themselves at the feet of the Lord, who takes refuge in Him, the flow of Geeta-knowledge automatically descends upon them. Therefore, to understand the Geeta, surrender is essential. It was only when Arjuna surrendered to the Lord that the Geeta manifested from the Lord's mouth, which destroyed Arjuna's delusion and bestowed upon him knowledge.

Now let's understand how the background for the Mahabharata war was formed. How did Shri Krishna impart the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta to Arjuna? But before knowing this, let's learn about the event that gave birth to the Mahabharata war. What happened was that seeing the opulence of the Pandavas in their Rajasuya Yagya, such a fire of envy blazed in Duryodhana's mind that, on Shakuni's advice, he invited Yudhishthira to a game of dice. And through deceit, he defeated him and took everything from him, even Draupadi.

After this, it was decided that Yudhishthira and his brothers, along with Draupadi, would live in the forest for twelve years and spend one year incognito. After thirteen years, if their period of incognito exile was successful, their kingdom would be returned to them. The Pandavas followed this condition, but thirteen years later, when they came to Duryodhana to ask for half of their kingdom, Duryodhana refused to give even a needle's worth of land.

Due to Duryodhana's obstinacy, on the command of Mother Kunti, the Pandavas decided upon war. Thus, the foundation of the Mahabharata war was laid, and preparations on both sides began in full swing.
